Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 3 cups onion or garlic flavored croutons
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 pounds breakfast sausage or ham
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 cups 2% or whole milk
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup diluted with 1/2 cup additional milk

Directions

  1. Brown sausage or ham and drain any fat or liquid
  2. Butter or spray a 9×13 glass baking dish
  3. place croutons in baking dish
  4. Top croutons with cheese
  5. Layer cooked drained sausage or ham over cheese layer
  6. Beat 4 eggs with dry mustard mixing well
  7. pour egg mixture over layers
  8. Pour milk over all layers
  9. Cover and refrigerate overnight
  10. Before baking, dilute cream of mushroom soup with milk and pour over casserole
  11. Bake 350 for 45-60 minutes or until bubbling and bottom layer is browned.
  12. Let stand out of oven for 5-10 minutes before serving
