Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup salted butter (1 ½ sticks), softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 3/4 cup of good quality dark chocolate, chopped

  1. Heat oven to 375F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

  3. Mix the flour, ground almonds, and cardamom together in a bowl and stir into the butter mixture. Add the milk and stir until dough holds together.

  5. Melt the chocolate in a glass or ceramic bowl in the microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir until the chocolate is completely smooth.
  6. Drizzle the chocolate onto the cookies in a crisscross pattern. Wait until the chocolate has hardened before enjoying.
