Hot German Potato Salad

  • 6 potatoes
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 3 slices bacon, cut into chunks and fried
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 (heaping) tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Boil potatoes in jackets and peel; cut into cubes. Add minced onion to potatoes. Cut bacon in chunks and fry, remove from grease and add to potatoes and onions. Add flour and sugar to bacon grease and stir to make paste. Add vinegar, hot water and salt.  Stir continually until thick.  Pour sauce over bacon, potatoes and onions. Mix well. Serve hot.
